Greg Wilmot

Greg Wilmot, President & CEO of NeighborHealth, formerly East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, oversees nearly 2,000 staff members, 120,000 patients and an annual operating revenue of $275+ million. Since 1970, NeighborHealth has worked with its neighbors to deliver high-quality health care that is compassionate, people-centric, culturally appropriate, and open to all.

The largest community-based primary care health system in Massachusetts, NeighborHealth was named a National Quality Leader by HRSA in 2023 and provides a wide range of services, including primary care, 24/7 emergency care, behavioral health care, specialty care, and various other health and wellness programs, all guided by the belief that high-quality, accessible, and culturally-aware care, delivered in the patient’s preferred language, translates into better health outcomes for patients.

Prior to assuming the role of President and CEO in 2022, Greg served as NeighborHealth’s Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Executive Director of Neighborhood PACE. Before joining NeighborHealth, Greg worked in various roles spanning the health and human services industries. This included working as a Director at Mass General Brigham and as a Director at Boston Medical Center Health System.

Additionally, Greg served under former Massachusetts Governor, Deval Patrick, in the Administration’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), as Senior Advisor to the EOHHS Secretary and led strategy and performance management for the secretariat. Greg also worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts in various operational and management roles.

Greg holds a BA in Psychology from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University with a specialization in Investments. Greg was awarded the YMCA Achievers award in 2016 and the Boston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award in 2019. In 2023, Greg received the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus Black Excellence on the Hill Award; Get Konnected’s Most Influential Men of Color recognition; and Modern Healthcare’s Top Diversity Leader award. In 2024, Greg was recognized as an Innovator in Healthcare by the Boston Business Journal, a Top Community Hospital CEO to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review and the recipient of the Patrick Hughes Award for Social Justice from Project Bread.

Currently, Greg serves as a member of various boards and agencies including the Board of Health for the Boston Public Health Commission, Advocates for Community Health, East Boston Social Centers, Community Servings, and The Women’s Lunch Place. Additionally, Greg serves on the Board of Trustees for Boston Medical Center Health System. Greg is also a member of the Health Equity Compact. Previously, Greg served on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts PACE Association, The Dimock Center, and the Dorchester YMCA, among various other local non-profit boards.

Julio Mazul, MD

Dr. Julio Mazul has served as a women’s health leader and practicing OB/GYN for two decades. As NeighborHealth’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mazul oversaw organizational-wide clinical quality and population health initiatives, including maternal mental health and LGBTQ research and education programs. As Medical Director of NeighborHealth’s Women’s Health department, Dr. Mazul led a diverse team of more than 20 physicians, nurse practitioners and Certified Nurse Midwives, caring for a majority new immigrant population, 70% of whom prefer to receive care in a language other than English.

A child of Guatemalan parents, Dr. Mazul was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Mazul received his Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in history from the University of California, San Diego, and his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine.  He completed his residency in OB/GYN at the Beth Israel Deaconess/Harvard Medical School program. While serving as the OB/GYN Associate Residency Director and OB/GYN Medical Education Director at the Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Mazul led an extensive LGBTQ education initiative to improve cultural competence around LGBTQ care.

Proud of his Latin American heritage, Dr. Mazul enjoys celebrating Guatemalan cultural traditions passed down from prior generations. He is bilingual in Spanish and English and dedicated to serving the immigrant communities of East Boston, Chelsea, Revere and beyond. In his decades of practice, he has seen firsthand the benefits of patients receiving care in their language from providers with similar cultural backgrounds.

James A. Hazard

Jamie Hazard serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for NeighborHealth and has over 30 years of experience in finance, accounting, and business management.  In this role, Jamie oversees the financial operations of all NeighborHealth programs.

Prior to joining NeighborHealth, Jamie worked for several IT consulting organizations and ran a small consulting business.

Jamie earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College in Accounting and Finance, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree from the University of Massachusetts, and is a candidate for a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) from Georgetown University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Jamie has served on the Finance Committee, Audit Committee, and Investment Committee (chair) of Community Care Cooperative (C3).  He has also served on the Finance Committee and Subcommittee on Health Center Financing for the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC).

Ryan Boxill, PhD MBA

Ryan Boxill, PhD, MBA is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York and Massachusetts. Dr. Boxill holds a PhD in Cross Cultural Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in Fresno, CA. He completed his Pre-doctoral training at the Hudson River Regional Psychology Internship Program at the New York State Office of Mental Health and his Harvard Medical School Postdoctoral Fellowship training at the MGH-OCD Institute at McLean Hospital. Dr. Boxill has an MBA from the University of Massachusetts in Boston with a specialization in Finance, and he is also a certified trainer in Diversity and Intercultural Sensitivity.

Dr. Boxill has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He advances an organization’s mission with a balance of business expertise, strategic vision and operational leadership. Additionally, Dr. Boxill has worked with organizations in areas such as prevention and wellness, new business model creation, accounting and finance, strategic planning, disaster mental health and national mental health policy development (Republic of Liberia).

Prior to joining NeighborHealth, Dr. Boxill was the Chief Behavioral Health Officer for the Boston Medical Center (BMC) Health System, where he was responsible for leading behavioral health across the health system. He also led the implementation of BMC’s first Behavioral Health Hospital in Brockton, a state-of-the-art facility designed to be carbon-neutral and net-zero. Dr. Boxill currently serves on the Board of the Massachusetts Health Quality Partners (MHQP), Fenway Community Development Corporation, the Community Services Board of the Dimock Health Center, the Advisory Board of Mission Safe and the Finance Committee and Deacon’s Ministry of People’s Baptist Church.

Eugenia Coronado

At NeighborHealth, Eugenia oversees the Specialty, OBGYN, Nutrition, Vision, Optical, Dental and Interpreter Services departments. Eugenia also oversees the health center’s new Patient Experience department, which liaises between patients and the health center to address concerns and ensure patient satisfaction.

Eugenia joined NeighborHealth in 2017 as Administrative Director for Specialties and Projects before expanding her role to include administrative oversight of the OBGYN department. Following the merger with South End Community Health Center in 2020, Eugenia served as Assistant Vice President of Operations for Specialties, OBGYN and Women’s Health and South End Primary Care, and was responsible for daily operations of the South End Primary Care clinic. During this time she also served as a liaison to all other departments within South End.

Prior to joining NeighborHealth, Eugenia spent 10 years at Boston Medical Center (BMC) in the Department of Medicine and Department of Surgery, where she was responsible for Pre-Procedure Clinic and General Surgery for the hospital.

Eugenia was born and raised in Brazil and is bilingual and bicultural in Portuguese and English. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages and Literature from Universidade Potiguar, Brazil; a post-graduate degree in Applied Linguistics from Faculdade de Filosofia do Recife, Brazil; and an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Quincy College. Eugenia completed the BioDiversity Fellow Program with The Partnership Inc. in 2019. Eugenia is EQi 2.0 certified as an emotional intelligent practitioner, which she uses to help others develop their emotional intelligence skills and abilities as professionals and leaders.

In 2021, she completed a Fellow Program in Health Policy from George Washington University.

Ernani J. DeAraujo

Ernani oversees NeighborHealth’s government affairs and regulatory functions. In addition to these areas, Ernani also oversees aspects of patient experience, including the contact center and referral departments, as well as certain operational projects. Prior to joining NeighborHealth, Ernani previously served as the East Boston Liaison for the late Boston Mayor Tom Menino; as an attorney at Foley Hoag LLP; and as an investment banker at JPMorgan Chase.

A lifelong East Boston resident, Ernani stays engaged with several external organizations and committees, including the John William Ward Fellowship and the Boston Latin School Association. Ernani is also a past member of the Boston School Committee and is one of the few individuals to have served in both the Clinton and Bush White Houses, where he was an Intern under both Presidents. Ernani graduated from Harvard College and the Washington and Lee School of Law.

Mimi Gardner, LICSW, MPH

As Vice President and Chief Equity Officer, Mimi is responsible for engaging and partnering with agencies and leaders in our communities and throughout the Commonwealth to develop and drive a health-informed community equity agenda. In this role, Mimi will leverage NeighborHealth’s role as a leading health care provider to facilitate collaboration amongst NeighborHealth and multiple health and human service agencies, ensuring that the health center integrates community feedback into its strategic response to systemic and prevailing health equity gaps in our neighborhoods.

In her 30-plus year career in healthcare administration, Mimi has worked with underserved and marginalized populations and fought for health equity, anti-racism practices, and social justice both as a provider and a person of color in the executive ranks. Before coming to NeighborHealth, Mimi was the Chief Clinical Officer at Charles River Community Health Center, where she brought her equity experience to the forefront of clinical operations.

In her previous role at HealthLinc Community Health Center, as the Chief Behavioral Health and Addiction Officer, she developed programs in partnership with communities to promote healthy living, address chronic illness, and provide treatment for addiction. She focused on combating institutional biases, increasing access to care, eliminating disparities, and improving outcomes for patients living in diverse and low-income communities.

Mimi is a catalyst for social change with a career focusing on disrupting the cycle of trauma, transforming the healthcare system, and developing systems to promote racial healing and ensure an individual’s right to opportunities for positive development. She is a licensed independent clinical social worker and active clinician. She holds a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health, a Masters of Arts in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago, Crown Family School of Social Work, and a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from the University of Chicago.

John Gioioso, CFM, MCR

As Vice President of Campus Operations, John Gioioso, CFM, MCR, will support and advance our health system’s commitment to expanding access to care and providing a patient-centered healthcare experience in all facilities. This work includes overseeing the operation of more than 20 properties owned and leased by NeighborHealth for patient care and administration, as well as spearheading new development and renovation projects in the communities NeighborHealth serves.

Prior to joining NeighborHealth, Gioioso oversaw project management for Mass General Brigham’s Northshore Physician Group’s clinic locations. In this role, he expertly managed new development and renovations, while working with both contractors and the community to promote best-in-class standard operating construction procedures. Gioioso is also well-versed in tenant fit-ups and built environment enchantment project management from his time with commercial real estate firm Keypoint Partners.

John is an East Boston native and an adjunct professor at Boston University and Wentworth Institute of Technology. Gioioso holds a masters’ degree from Cambridge College with a concentration in facilities management. He received his bachelor’s degree in management from Suffolk University and his associate’s degree in management from Northshore Community College.

Hollis Graham, RN BSN

Hollis Graham leads the NeighborHealth Strategy, Project Management Office and Communications departments. Within strategy and project management, Hollis oversees the strategic direction of the organization and the management of the project portfolio. Additionally, she oversees corporate Communications, which includes Marketing, Public Relations, and Community Engagement. Hollis joined NeighborHealth in 2010 and has held several roles over her career at NeighborHealth. She has held progressive roles at Senior Care Options (SCO) and Program of All Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE) that span direct patient care, operations management, strategic planning, and execution.

Prior to her healthcare career at NeighborHealth, Hollis held a project management role in the field of genetic engineering at Charles River Laboratories. She led preclinical research projects with operational and leadership accountabilities to provide strategic direction and scientific guidance for multi-year, multi-phased projects.

Hollis is triple Bachelors prepared, holding degrees from Boston University in Biology and Education as well as her Nursing Degree from Curry College. She has completed the Mass League of Community Health Center Management Certificate Program with Suffolk University as well as obtained her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, which is a process improvement methodology.

Takesha Hurd

Takesha Hurd provides direct support to President and CEO Greg Wilmot and the health center’s Executive Leadership Team. In her role at NeighborHealth she coordinates and facilitates various key organizational forums. She also implements and facilitates key planning processes across the organization, as she oversees the executive office day-to-day administration. As the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) manager, she manages the DEI related initiatives and strategies of the organization and leads select planning activities to ensure the advancement of the organization’s DEI strategic plan.

Prior to joining NeighborHealth, Takesha had 20 years of executive health care experience. She held various roles at Mass General Brigham (MGB) / Allways Health Partners, where she led the coordination, logistics, and communications for the organization’s Pharmacy Operation, Medicaid and ACO Operation, and Strategy and Marketing Department. She also served as the organization’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion facilitator. In this capacity, she led DE&I training for existing and new employees through a mandatory DE&I workshop and coordinated and led various internal and external DE&I events.

Takesha is not new to community health centers, and prior to MGB, worked with Manet Community Health Center, where she provided executive and project management support to the CEO, Senior Management team, and the Board of Directors.  Additionally, she worked at Boston Medical Center, Department of Family Medicine as an Administrative Coordinator. Takesha holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from her proud HBCU (Historically Black College University) of Virginia Union University. She is also an alum of The Partnership Inc.’s Fellows Program. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Inc.

James Hill

Jim Hill has held various roles of increasing responsibility at NeighborHealth over the past 32 years, and has been CTO for the past 18 years. Jim is responsible for IT hardware across the NeighborHealth campus, which includes more than 20 sites, and played a key role in rapid implementation of telehealth and telecommuting at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. He was also part of the team that implemented Epic electronic medical record at NeighborHealth in 1998. Jim holds a BA from Syracuse University.

Calay Ip

Calay Ip provides executive leadership to one of the nation’s largest PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organizations, managing Clinical Operations, Quality and Performance Improvement, and Health Plan Operations. Prior to joining NeighborHealth, she held the role of Director of Business Strategy for the Senior Products Division at Tufts Health Plan where she led the development of the Senior Products multi-year strategic plan for the Connecticut and Massachusetts markets. At AllWays Health Partners (a member of the Mass General Brigham system), Calay was the Director of the Medicaid ACO. She was responsible for the development and implementation of the Accountable Care Organization in partnership with Lawrence General Hospital, Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, and other independent provider practices. She also spent many years at Boston Medical Center leading and executing large scale transformation initiatives to redesign care for improved outcomes. Calay received her BS magna cum laude from Bentley University in Finance, and her MBA from Boston University in Health Sector Management.

Amanda McGee

As General Counsel, Amanda oversees legal and compliance strategy and day-to-day operations and training for both departments.  Her practice spans all aspects of legal and corporate counsel and compliance for the health center, including regulatory compliance, litigation, and general corporate matters such as contract management, mergers and acquisitions, employment and labor issues, immigration, real estate, and tax matters.

Since she has joined the organization, Amanda supported the health center’s acquisition of the South End Community Health Center, 21st Century CURES Act implementation, and was the Governance/Administration team lead for the 2021 HRSA On Site Visit. Amanda also counsels the Board of Directors and provides legal oversight for the organization’s ongoing response to the COVID pandemic, including regulatory compliance, new projects and initiatives, and telehealth and telecommuting/remote work.

Prior to joining the health center in 2019, Amanda was a senior litigation associate at an international law firm where her practice focused on federal class actions and regulatory inquiries in the banking and financial institutions industries. Amanda graduated from Amherst College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and earned her J.D. at the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served as a Dillard Fellow and was an Executive Editor for the Journal of Law and Politics. In addition to her responsibilities at the health center, Amanda serves on the Board of the Friends of the Duxbury Free Library, which supports her town’s public library.

Laura Rogers

Laura Rogers has worked at NeighborHealth for more than 30 years in the Information Technology Department with many different roles and increasing responsibilities. She was part of the leadership team for the original Epic electronic medical record implementation at NeighborHealth, which made the health center one of the first health care institutions in Boston to use this system. Laura also manages the Health Information Management (HIM) Department. Laura is a graduate of Suffolk University Sawyer Business School with a concentration in information technology.

Jeffery Schuster

Jeffery Schuster joined NeighborHealth in 2016 and is responsible for the daily operations of the health center, including NeighborHealth’s 24/7 Emergency Department and in-house pharmacy program, which was integrated into health center operations in 2020. Before joining NeighborHealth, Jeff spent 11 years at Boston Medical Center where he held various roles, eventually being promoted to Senior Director of Clinical Operations. In this role, Jeff was responsible for all clinical services, perioperative services, and interpreter services within the medical center, and was responsible for the capital process of clinical operations with a yearly budget of $10 million. Following NeighborHealth’s merger with South End Community Health Center in July 2020, Jeff has played a key role in the onboarding and continued oversight of South End sites. Jeff holds a Master’s degree in health care management from Cambridge College.

Steven Snyder

Steven Snyder began his career at NeighborHealth in 1987 and worked in Human Resources for more than a decade, developing expertise in recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and other areas of HR management. In 2001, he began a lengthy stay at the Franciscan Hospital for Children where he provided senior leadership of Human Resources, Marketing, Development, and other non-clinical services. In 2011, Steven returned to NeighborHealth as a Vice President and currently oversees Human Resources and Development, which includes fundraising, media, and public relations. Steven is a graduate of the University of Lowell where he received a BS in human resources management. In addition to his responsibilities at the health center, he serves on the board of ZUMIX, a local nonprofit that provides youth development and career readiness through music and art.

Tracey Weeden, MSW, LICSW

Bringing more than 25 years of experience in behavioral healthcare to NeighborHealth, Tracey Weeden will lead NeighborHealth’s integrated behavioral health services, guided by her commitment to eliminating barriers to care and creating positive patient experiences through holistic, culturally-informed care.

As Vice President and Chief Behavioral Health Officer, Tracey will be responsible for the Behavioral Health Department’s strategic planning process and major strategic initiatives, and for setting standards and models of care across the Behavioral Health continuum of care, including Psychiatry, Recovery Services and Healing Arts.

Tracey brings more than 25 years of behavioral health care, operational and leadership experience to NeighborHealth and is a longtime advocate for social justice. Prior to joining NeighborHealth, Tracey served as Executive Director of the Boston Medical Center’s Brockton Behavioral Health Hospital where she oversaw an 80-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital and 26-bed Clinical Stabilization Services program for individuals with behavioral health disorders. Tracey has also previously held the roles of Chief Operating Officer for First Step of Sarasota, Inc. and Director of Counseling and Homeless Services for RCAP Solutions, Inc.

Tracey received her Bachelor of Science in social work from the College of New Rochelle in New York and her Master’s of Social Work from Boston University. She is currently completing her Doctor of Health Services Administration at Northcentral University in San Diego, California. Tracey serves as Vice Chair of the RCAP Solutions, Inc. Board of Directors, as well as member of both the Franciscan’s Children’s Hospital Board of Directors and the MA Public Health Data Warehouse (PHD) Community Advisory Board.

When Tracey is not at work, she enjoys spending quiet time in nature, crafting and spending time with her family.

Evonne Yang, MPH, MSW

As Assistant Vice President of Integration and Operational Excellence, Evonne oversees the integration of large scale and interdisciplinary strategic initiatives, while also providing tactical support on clinical and operational initiatives.

Prior to joining NeighborHealth, Evonne served as Director of Behavioral Health at Boston Medical Center (BMC) Health System, where she was responsible for leading and executing on behavioral health operations, quality performance, and strategic initiatives across the health system.  In this role, she worked closely with BMC Hospital departments, BMC’s WellSense Health Plan, and BMC’s Boston Accountable Care Organization (BACO) partners. Her previous work includes leading population health initiatives in both primary and specialty care clinics at BMC, as well as expanding BMC’s Integrated Behavioral Health service.  Through these initiatives, Evonne significantly improved overall performance and clinical integration across service lines.

Evonne holds Masters degrees in both public health and social work from Boston University.  She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Stanford University.  Outside of work, Evonne enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and deep dives into historical topics.
