- Senior Care Options (SCO)
Senior Care Options (SCO) is a comprehensive health plan open to people who qualify for Medicare and MassHealth. It provides coordinated care through NeighborHealth’s senior care organization and network of providers. Members receive the following services and benefits:
- No co-pays
- Access to all medications
- Dental exams and dentures, if needed
- Eyeglasses and hearing aids, if needed
- Easy access to home-care services
- 24-hour-a-day access to your nurse or provider in emergencies
SCO Enrollment and Eligibility
Enrollment in SCO is voluntary; once a member is enrolled, they may disenroll at any time. You or your loved one is eligible for this managed care program if you or they:
- are aged 65 or older;
- live at home or in a long-term-care facility (member cannot be an inpatient at a chronic or rehabilitation hospital or reside in an intermediate care facility for people with intellectual disabilities);
- are not subject to a six-month deductible period under MassHealth regulations; and
- live in an area served by a SCO plan.

Interpreter services
Greater Boston is a vibrant community, requiring health care providers that are just as diverse. NeighborHealth offers services in 16 languages, interpreting for patients during medical visits and treatment sessions, as well as translating written medical orders, prescriptions, letters, and more.
