Project SHINE (Support, Healthcare, Intervention, Education) is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary HIV services program, developed to meet an essential need in our community.
We provide and coordinate medical care for individuals living with HIV and AIDS, and those at risk. Our goal is to increase access to primary and specialty care services for all individuals within the community who are HIV-positive or are at risk for acquiring HIV.
We provide:
- Confidential screening services for:
- HIV
- Hepatitis C
- Syphilis
- Chlamydia and gonorrhea 3-site testing
- PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis)
- nPEP (non-occupational Post Exposure Prophylaxis)
- HIV medical care and medical case management
- ARCH (Active Retention in Care for Health)
- Psychosocial support and community-based prevention
- Referrals to supportive services
Our model of complete care
Adherence to a pharmaceutical protocol is a key factor in managing HIV — and we work hard to help participants manage their medication regimens.
Under the Project SHINE model, patients work with a multidisciplinary clinical team that includes:
An infectious disease specialist
An HIV-specialized nurse
A mental health clinician
A concrete services case manager
We work with other medical providers, chronic care facilities, home care, hospice care, social services agencies, and other community-based organizations to provide complete care.
