Applicant qualifications
- Recent graduate of accredited masters or doctorate-level program (or nearing graduation) or newly certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. Applicant must be within 18 months of graduation from their nurse practitioner program or new to community health center at time of application.
- Individuals must be licensed and board-certified by July 1, 2025. Board Certified by AANP or ANCC.
- All applicants are required to have their Massachusetts Advanced Practice License, Federal DEA, and MA Controlled Substances Registration (MCSR) prior to starting clinical sessions.
- Highly committed to providing comprehensive and quality health care for underserved populations.
- Experience working in a culturally diverse environment.
- Applicant must be a citizen of the US or a foreign national with a Visa permitting permanent residency in the US or a non-citizen national. Individuals on temporary or student visas are not eligible.
- Proficient in written and spoken English. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

- Two letters of recommendation that specifically address your capabilities and interests related to this residency program
- Contact information for two clinical references (current employer, faculty member, or preceptor)

- Applicants are screened by the PMHNP Residency selection committee.
- After screening, applicants may be invited for interviews.
- Once accepted into the residency, applicants will meet all employment requirements of their residency employer and must provide their NPI to NeighborHealth.
Important dates
- January 23, 2025: Application opens
- March 2, 2025: Applications due
- April/early May 2025: Interviews conducted
- May 9, 2025: Applicants notified of acceptance status
- October 20, 2025: Residency begins
