EBNHC Named to Harvard Pilgrim Health Care’s 2011 “Physician Group Honor Roll”

East Boston, MA, October 6, 2011—The East Boston Neighborhood Health Center (EBNHC) has been named to Harvard Pilgrim Health Care’s 2011 Physician Honor Roll in recognition of the outstanding commitment to high-quality care demonstrated by EBNHC physicians. EBNHC gratefully acknowledges the work of Peter Smith, MD, and Anita Morris, NP, for this honor.

Local care units were evaluated for how well they provided care to adult and pediatric populations in the areas of acute care, chronic care, and preventive care.

Along with other local care units selected as Harvard Pilgrim Honor Roll recipients, leaders representing EBNHC were part of a special reception and dinner hosted by Harvard Pilgrim’s Eric Schultz, President and CEO, and Michael Sherman, MD, Chief Medical Officer, on November 8, 2011.

The East Boston Neighborhood Health Center (EBNHC) has been a vital part of its community for over 40 years, providing easily accessible, high-quality health care to all who live and work in East Boston and the surrounding communities of Chelsea, Revere, Everett, and Winthrop. EBNHC handles 300,000 patient visits per year—more than any other ambulatory care center in New England.
